Entertaiment is a multifaceted and highly evocative concept. It reflects a range of social values and cultural traditions, including moralism, narrative tradition, and the value placed on satire. It is also a significant industry providing livelihoods for many. It can be experienced at an individual level in private entertainment choices; a couple sharing a meal or banquet designed for their enjoyment; or on an industrial scale through the many mass media entertainments.
