However, the class method is only effective if other teaching techniques are used as well.

For example, a student may be taught a piece of music through a method that involves repeated experiences. Such a method should involve illustrations based on the teacher’s understanding of the subject.

Meaning of “education”

Education is the process of developing the potentials of a human being. This process includes the development of physical, mental, moral (spiritual), and social faculties. The word education is derived from the Latin word ‘educare’, meaning to bring up, mould, or train. It also has roots in the PIE word ‘deuk-‘, which means to lead. It has become a common metaphor for a child’s development.

The main purpose of education is to cultivate a human being’s potential and ability to make a difference in the world. Education creates environments and relationships that foster exploration. It also strives to emancipate and enlarge experience. According to philosophers, the purpose of education is to help a person become an agent for change in the world. This requires commitment and the development of appropriate action.
